BEIRUT: 2018 was a bumpy year for the automotive market in Lebanon, according to the report of the Association of Automotive Importers in Lebanon (AIA). Despite the overall market hitting a slump, with an 11 percent decline in the total industry volume and a 2.8 percent regression in the luxury segment specifically, INFINITI’s sales grew remarkably by 13 percent vs. 2017.
INFINITI, the luxury automotive brand, closed 2018 with a total 461 units sold, reaching an impressive 12 percent market share of the luxury vehicle segment. This shifts rankings around, placing INFINITI among the top 3 luxury car brands in Lebanon.
Though a young comer to the Lebanese market and the industry overall, INFINITI has managed to overtake legacy automakers that have traditionally occupied the top positions in sales in the country.
